According to new findings from Informa, the global wireless market now claims 1.8 billion subscribers, representing worldwide market penetration of 28 percent. The four-largest wireless growth markets are the so-called BRIC countries: Brazil, Russia, India, and China.

Google Acquires Dodgeball

Dodgeball.com, which lets you use your mobile phone to broadcast your whereabouts to your buddies, was acquired by Google this week. Nokia has released as well a similar service - Sensor - working via bluetooth.
